A 120 literary quiz ‘buffs’ gathered in the Margaret River Cultural Centre on Thursday night, 30th April, to show support and help raise funds  for the inaugural Margaret River Readers and Writers Festival. Quizmaster and well known local author Bill Bunbury kept the night bubbling along with witty and amusing anecdotes. His wife, Jenny, had put together a challenging and fascinating series of questions. Quiz organiser, Avril Farrer, did a get job putting the show together and ensuring over $1500 was raised for the Margaret River Readers and Writers Festival to be held on the 16^th and 17^th May.

 

Internationally acclaimed authors, Don Watson, Julienne Van Loon, Maggie Hamilton along with local writers Peter Rigby, Sue Sowerby, Ross Lonnie, Margo Edwards and Sullivan McLeod are just some of the tremendous authors who will be town for the festival.  With registration from $30, including the launch, this is the  perfect weekend to tap into the roots of creative literary landscape.
