Margaret River Readers and Writers Festival 2009

The Inaugural Margaret River Readers and Writers Festival presented by Arts Margaret RIver was launched in style on Friday May 15 at the Margaret River Cultural Centre. The Festival featured internationally -acclaimed writers, local writers, hard working volunteers, fascinated local listeners and aspiring new writers in a way which hearted, moved and delighted all those lucky enough to be there. Celebrated authors Don Watson, Maggie Hamilton, Julienne Van Loon, Reg Cribb, Marcela Polain, Luke Milton, Jude Blereau joined with leading local authors Pete and Bay Rigby, Sue Sowerby, Sullivan McLeod, Margot Edwards, Miranda Aitken, Molly Hall, Miriam Lo and Ross Lonnie to deliver heart felt insights into the fascinating landscapes of reading and writing.
